The Great Granville Garden Show, 2023
Throughout history, gardens have been a part of everyday life, they bring pleasure or nourishment and are a way of creating and connecting with community. Gardens started predominantly as a practical use for agriculture and food production and with time have also become symbols of status, culture, and religion. This group exhibition brings together artists whose works explore their relationship to the physical garden and the act of gardening to unpack the importance of them today in this contemproary age.
Artists: Raquel Caballero, Virginia Keft, Shivanjani Lal, Dane Lovett, James Nguyen, Vipoo Srilivasa, Matavai Taulangau, the Taia Family, Salote Tawale and Garry Trinh.
Presented at Granville Centre Art Gallery
